Avocados

May sound stupid but I have never in my whole life bought avocados, these guys are my very first:) Reason is: in Hungary they are not so common and absolutely not cheap so everybody has to survive without them. But tonight I'm making guacamole for the tortilla chips after we consumed a big amount of enchilladas! Hasta luego!

Autumn?

It would have been a perfect autumn day yesterday if it wasn't actually August.

But I was thinking. You are so close to nature here in Gouda. So different from in Hungary. You go out the door and you're immidiately surrounded by trees and birds, you can feed the ducks and all that. Here for example a picture of a Grey Herron in the middle of the city, in Park Atlantis (you can spot these birds all the time near the huge amount of lakes and channels around the negihbourhood):

WTJ - Trace your hand

Finally at least I'm completely done with a page and I'm happy with the outcome. It took me a couple of days, but it succeeded! Here it is:

It contains typical Hungarian candies: dunakavics (Duna pebbles) and francia drazsé (French dragee). I printed a cute candy shaped gift-tag for it.

A couple of days ago a new sensation hit me after watching some movies about the 40's and 50's: I love those cars!!! Yes, I mean those huge, whale-like monsters. They amaze me in a way a BMW or Yamaha bike can never do.

Rainbow

I saw a beautiful rainbow in the morning. I was waiting at the station and suddenly it started raining hard on the left side and on the right the sun was still shining. The rainbow appeared somewhere above our house (I hope it means that there is treasure buried somewhere there :). Thus my day started good so let's keep it like this for another 10 hours!

I just got an enormous hint this weekend how to do the 'trace your hand' page. I saw a guy on MTV who had a shirt with a hand forming the peace sign. So thats it :) I always liked hippies and the whole flower power era anyways :)

Wreck This Journal - A little from everything

Well, I have the feeling I'm not like one of those artists/bloggers who start a page in the journal and work on it until it's finished. I'm more like "a little drawing here, another sticker there" kind of person. I added some pagenumbers, in the order of my progression with the pages. So it's gonna be chaotic :)
